With a post-war background, this tragicomic, intense and emotional monologue focuses on the character of Mercè. Based on true events! June 1816. A French vessel gets stuck off the coast of Senegal. Without enough boats to go around, a raft is built to tow 147 people. Panic and confusion take over the ship's crew who end up cutting the tow line and abandoning the raft to its fate. Of those 147 men, only 9 managed to save their lives. Among them were Savigny, a ruthless medical officer, and Thomas, a rebellious common sailor. Confronted, they live these events showing different attitudes to survive.
